Based in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Andrew Parr is a conductor, composer, and educator who provides meaningful experiences for choirs of all ages and levels of experience. A New Jersey native, Andrew earned his bachelor's degree in music education from St. Olaf College, where he studied conducting and voice with Dr. Anton Armstrong and sang in The St. Olaf Choir. He earned his master’s degree in education from The College of St. Scholastica.

A frequent clinician and guest conductor, Andrew has worked with singers ages 9-99 in a variety of settings. Recent appearances include serving as music director for the Royal School of Church Music Midwest Choral Residency at the University of Evansville, and conductor of the St. Paul Area Synod (ELCA) festival worship choir.

Andrew’s music is published by Hal Leonard, Shawnee Press, Alfred, Choristers Guild, BriLee, Hinshaw, Excelcia, Heritage Music Press, and Augsburg Fortress. He is grateful to have his music performed throughout the world. He has five pieces on the Texas UIL Prescribed Music List, and his music has frequently been included on reading session and JW Pepper Editors’ Choice lists.  

In addition to his work as a conductor and composer, Andrew is the Choir Director at Rogers Middle School in Rogers, MN, where he leads an elective choral program of more than 300 students. He also serves as Director of Worship and Music for Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN.
